Warming Soak for Cold Achy Joint Pain
Each package of herbs makes a soak that will last 7-10 days. Take 1 package of herbs and put in a pot large enough to cover the injured area (like a stock pot). Add water (enough to cover the injured area), more water may be added as necessary. Cover the pot and bring to a boil. Turn down and simmer 20-25 minutes. Remove pot from the stove. When the soak has cooled sufficiently- it is warm but not uncomfortably hot- soak the injured area 15-20 minutes. After using the soak, dry the skin and keep it warm and away from cold or drafts. Cover the pot. The soak can be used 1-2 times per day for about 7 days. Simply reheat the liquid to a warm temperature to reuse. There is no need to boil ahain.
Stop using the soak if the pain worsens, if you experience a rash, or any other signs of allergic reaction. Any other questions about the soak, please inquire. Do not use on open skin wounds or if you have a condition that affects your ability to feel temperature sensations.
