Qi Gong is the new black

Qi gong is a form of movement that has been around for thousands of years. It is one of the best ways to improve your health, and you may have never heard of it.


Qi gong is a series of movements coupled with breathing, along similar lines as tai chi. It is meant to help strengthen and move your Qi, or your own energy. It is considered a form of internal martial arts, and is away to promote good health over a lifetime.


We have all felt stuck before, whether we are struggling to make decisions or maybe feel food is stuck in our digestive system. Sometimes we feel emotionally depleted, sometimes we may not have enough energy to make it through a workout. These are signs that our systems aren’t functioning optimally.


Peter Deadman, a famous acupuncturist, put out a qi gong video during covid to help strengthen lung health, but it is fantastic to do year around. In particular, it can help strengthen the lungs for things like asthma and COPD, allergies, low immune system, long covid, anxiety, and heart problems like palpitations. The lungs are also the channel most affected by grief. It is normal to feel sad and cry during periods of grief, but these emotions can also become pathological if they go on for long periods of time.
